Brush Chipping

Brush can be placed on the terrace for curbside pickup by 7am on Mondays all year long.  Public Works will make one sweep per street per week on Mondays as weather permits.

Please make sure brush (sticks and branches) is:

  • Piled loose on the terrace with cut ends pointing in the same direction as traffic travels

  • Branches are not more than 10' long and 6" wide

  • Small brush of 1/2" diameter or less should be placed in a solid container. Brush placed in bags or cardboard boxes will not be picked up.

  • Piles are free of grass clippings, leaves, and yard waste.

  • Free of foliage. The excess foliage can jam the chipper.

If a tree trimming service is hired for maintenance at your residence, that business is required to dispose of the tree brush.

Public Works will limit brush chipping to one hour per residence per week so as to better serve the community.

Please do not place brush on the terrace more than 24 hours prior to collection.  Help keep the Village of Lomira attractive!

Please contact the Village office or check the website for updates.

Public Works make one sweep per street per week. Piles that have excessive amounts of grass will not be picked up curbside.

Residents can also take leaves to the dumpsite located at 100 Pleasant Hill Avenue. The dump site is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Grass Clippings and Yard Waste

Grass clippings and miscellaneous yard waste such as flowers, leaves and plant trimmings can be brought to the Village dump site located at 100 Pleasant Hill Avenue.

The dump site is open for Village residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  It is monitored; violators will be fined and will be expected to clean up their violations. Please respect the Village and keep Lomira beautiful!
